Boriana Strzok is an award-winning strategist and creative director with over 15 years of advertising and marketing experience. In 2010 she founded 5IVE with a simple goal – to break away from the traditional agency model and develop a different kind of creative firm that challenges the status quo, breaks barriers, builds connections and achieves excellence through strategy, design, collaboration and shared values.
Her passion for human centric, cause-driven brands is the guiding principle of 5IVE’s business model and collaborative client work. Boriana’s expertise and holistic understanding of brand management from strategy and identity design, to business application and engagement, allows her to provide every client with unique solutions that are measurable, goal oriented and successful.
Founder & Creative Director at UNO Branding
Luis Fitch is a multi disciplinary art director & designer working as a partner at Minneapolis based design firm UNO Branding. His work has won numerous awards including The McKnight Visual Artist Fellowship, Ohio Art Council Design Fellowship, Type Director’s Club, The Peter Glen Special Award for Public Services, and The Hispanic Creative Awards Competition, among many others. He has been named “People to Watch, by Graphic Design USA Magazine” and “Twin Cities’ top advertising minds by Metro magazine”. He lectures about design at creative conferences and universities internationally. He mentors students at MCAD MFA in Minneapolis.
Creative Director at R/GA
Manny has been building brands for over 14 years designing communications and consumer experiences for some of the world’s most well-known companies including: McDonald’s, Wrigley, Kellogg’s, Lowe’s, Quaker, UFC, and The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
In his role as Creative Director, he’s tasked with leading teams in crafting design systems for R/GA Chicago clients. He also drives the creative for The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas account where he’s been integral in evolving the brand for all media channels.
Prior to advertising, Manny was a digital specialist at Accenture who helped clients, like Hilton Hotels, build their online presence. He also designed experimental interfaces with the firm’s research lab.
Designer at Eight Seven Central
Uciel Medina is a designer and project manager at Eight Seven Central in Des Moines, Iowa—his name is pronounced much like the letterforms ‘UCL.’
As part of a small but award-winning design team, his collaborations with clients have produced a multitude of graphic and identity work, ranging from screen printed tees to signage on a large scale for buildings and billboards. Dona Bela Shreds, Tasty Tacos, Polk Soil & Water Conservation District, The Cheese Shop of DSM, and The Hall at the Foundry are notable among past and current clients.
A graduate of Iowa State University’s design program, he has inhabited numerous roles at Eight Seven Central as a printer, project manager, and designer.
He is devout to film and music, and indulges in scattered home recordings with a small but beloved collection of guitars and effects.
Owner of Annie's Easel and Designer at Flying Hippo Brand + Digital
Annie Schmitt is an art director, a photographer, a brand strategist and a downright wild woman. Previously a van-dwelling artist, Annie uses her craft to bring brands to life by humanizing clean lines and grids. When she isn’t concocting killer brand experiences, she’s capturing wedding lovebirds as the owner of Annie’s Easel Photography. If she’s not at home getting bit by her cat, Louis, she’s probably off on a junket with her own lovebird, Bryce, fueling their wanderlust.
